Diana Kay Stephens, 61, of rural Oblong, IL. passed away at 11:32 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. Born on December 28, 1953 in Crawford County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Clyde Lancaster and Betty Irene (Perrine) Lancaster. On December 9, 1969 she married John Richard Stephens and he survives.
Diana attended Oblong Schools, Oblong IL; was previously employed with the Oblong IGA as manager of the deli department for 5 to 6 years; Crawford Electronics, Robinson, IL for several years and with Standard Grigsby, Oblong, IL for many years. Diana enjoyed taking vacations, dancing, taking pictures and listening to oldies country music.
Survivors include her husband John Stephens, of Oblong, IL.; her daughter Jodi Henry; two sons and daughter-in-law Cody and Brandi Stephens and Corey Stephens; her three grandchildren: Makadan Henry, Jacoda Stephens, and Billi Stephens; her step-father Roy Keys, all of Oblong, IL; one brother and sister-in-law Dick and Sheila Perrine, Palestine, IL.; four sisters and brother-in-law: Darlene and Herb Jolliff, Nashville, IL; Becky Tharp, Shelly Scott and Tracie Ghormley, all of Hammond, IN.; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jerry and Lee Stephens and family, Larry and Donna Stephens and family, Jeff Stephens and Rick Stephens and her mother-in-law Reba Stephens, all of Oblong, IL; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceding Diana in death were her parents; one sister Patty Richards; grandparents Raymond and Irene (Jackson) Perrine; and her father-in-law Major Stephens.
